Direct Billing

We offer direct billing for your convenience for Naturopathic Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture and Massage Therapy services as long as your plan allows it. Currently we bill for the following:

• Direct billing preauthorizes your plan until the payment is received from your insurance company. Most of the time, there is no difference in what you are authorized for. Payments can take anywhere from 24 hours to 4 weeks to receive, and on occasion, there are discrepancies. In the event, you are paid instead of the clinic, or there is a difference in what you were pre-authorized for, your credit card will be charged, and a revised invoice will be issued.

• We only direct bill to your primary insurance plan, as coordination of benefits is not possible with direct billing. We will give you an invoice for you to submit to your secondary insurance.

• We are unable to check what your coverage is or how much you have left remaining. You will need to contact your insurance company for those details.

• Any remaining balance is due at the conclusion of your visit.

• An itemized invoice is provided for each visit

• We cannot direct bill or invoice you for future appointments.

• All visits are billed for the patient seen and only on the date they are seen and for the service provided. Invoices cannot be issued for different dates, other family members or other professional services, as that is considered insurance fraud.

• We do require your written authorization for direct billing. This form is your authorization to allow direct billing and for Harmony Health Integrative Centre to be paid on your behalf.

Fee Schedule

NATUROPATHIC MEDICINE

Initial Visits (75 minutes): $250

Follow-up Visits are charged based on the amount of time utilized:

• 30 Minutes: $115

• 45 Minutes: $165

• 60 Minutes: $215

Supplements are an additional cost and vary depending on the product
Laboratory tests are an additional cost and vary depending on the test.

TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE & ACUPUNCTURE

• Initial Assessment and Treatment (75 minutes): $145

• ​Follow-up Treatment (60 minutes): $100

• Dermatological (Cosmetic) Acupuncture (75 minutes): $160

MASSAGE THERAPY

• 30 Minute Massage: $60 +GST

• 45 Minute Massage: $80 +GST

• 60 Minute Massage: $100 +GST

• 90 Minute Massage: $145 +GST

The services in our clinic are NOT covered by Alberta Health Care. Acupuncture, Massage Therapy and Naturopathic Medicine are commonly covered by extended health benefits. Please check with your provider and plan for full details and coverage.
