Osteopathic Informed Manual Therapy
Massage therapy is the manual manipulation of soft tissues, including muscles, connective tissues, tendons, ligaments, and joints. Treatment aims to support health and well-being by addressing discomfort related to muscle overuse, daily stressors, movement restrictions, and chronic pain. Each session is individualized based on your health goals, health history, posture and movement assessment, treatment preferences, and comfort level.
Osteopathic-informed manual therapy complements massage therapy through a gentle, hands-on approach that considers how the body functions as an interconnected whole. Using detailed palpation, movement assessment, and a variety of manual techniques, Lewis Fischer, RMT, works with muscles, joints, fascia, connective tissues, and areas of restriction throughout the body. The goal is to help reduce tension, improve mobility, and support the body's natural capacity to adapt and recover.
Every treatment is tailored to the individual, taking into account current symptoms, health history, and how the body presents on that particular day. This gentle and adaptable approach may benefit people of all ages, including infants, children, adults, and seniors.
Soft Tissue Mobilization
Hands-on techniques used to assess and address tension, restrictions, and discomfort in muscles, fascia, and other soft tissues. Treatment may help improve mobility, reduce muscle tightness, and support overall movement function.
A gentle, hands-on treatment focused on the jaw, face, head, and neck. Using both external and intraoral techniques, TMJ and buccal therapy may help reduce tension, improve jaw mobility, and support relief from symptoms such as jaw discomfort, clenching, headaches, and facial tightness. Every treatment is individualized to your needs, comfort level, and goals.
Myofascial Release
A specific technique to treat the layer of connective tissue between your skin and muscles. This technique can be done with cups or hands, depending on the severity of the tightness.
Trigger Point Therapy
A specific technique that applies finger pressure along irritated points, called trigger points, in the body. This pressure overloads the nerves in the area, thus "resetting" them. This technique is invaluable for unwinding tension and managing pain.
Treatments Include:
Joint Mobilization
Craniosacral Therapy
Visceral Manipulation
Muscle Energy Techniques
Orthopedic & Movement Assesment
Gentle, controlled movements are applied to joints to help improve mobility, reduce stiffness, and support healthy joint mechanics. Techniques are tailored to each individual's needs and comfort level.
A gentle, hands-on approach that focuses on the tissues and structures surrounding the head, spine, and sacrum. This treatment aims to encourage relaxation and support the body's natural ability to adapt and recover.
A gentle manual therapy approach that focuses on the mobility and movement of the body's internal organs and surrounding connective tissues. Treatment may help address restrictions that could influence comfort, posture, and movement.
An active treatment approach that combines precise positioning with gentle muscle contractions. These techniques are used to improve joint mobility, reduce muscle tension, and restore balanced movement patterns.
TMJ/Buccal Treatments
A comprehensive evaluation of posture, movement patterns, joint function, and soft tissue health. This assessment helps identify contributing factors to pain or dysfunction and guides the development of an individualized treatment plan.
